The ATA (American Teleservices Association) is promoting a tougher stand against the Auto Warranty Scam and is pledging to use its full resources to fight those crooks. It is calling on congress to act. More here.  

If  this sounds like an old story, well it is. Facebook is once again being used by scammers to steal personal identities. A spokesperson from Facebook told the Times that its network was accessed by hackers and the hackers stole users’ accounts and information. More here. 

How to keep seniors safe? You should urge them to refuse to pick phone calls from strangers or telemarketers. More..

Another victim of the ever present Craigslist’s scams. It is not only fake checks. Scammers are also using fake bills. A West Pasco man was scammed of $2,000 dollars in fake bills. More here. 

Did you check that Website URL/domains? Well, if you didn’t, you could be a victim of identity theft. Scammers are creating website with URLs similar to popular networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace.  For example, the following is one cloned domain that you should be in the look out for:, unblock.facebookproxy.com.
